Unicoop Tirreno has joined the list of companies registered on the PlusAdvance platform (a fintech startup based in Ancona) with the goal of continuing to be a reference point not only for its members and customers but also for its supply chain. The virtual platform of PlusAdvance offers an accelerated collection service to its suppliers and represents a concrete and immediate solution for economic recovery.
In an economic scenario that has always seen a tendency toward undercapitalization (in 2018, the year of recovery, more than 16% of small and medium-sized enterprises were undercapitalized), the Covid-19 context has led companies to increasingly rely on diversified sources of financing, which often involve long credit access times, high costs, and complex procedures.
The collaboration with PlusAdvance provides Unicoop Tirreno’s suppliers with a financial support tool that allows them to renegotiate the payment terms of their invoices by indicating the discount they are willing to offer in exchange for early payment before the due date, thus freeing up liquidity tied up in accounts receivable.
The initiative is ultimately supported by the following ethical claim, validated in accordance with UNI ISO/TS 17033 by the certifying body Bureau Veritas: Unicoop Tirreno facilitates its supply chain’s access to liquidity through the PlusAdvance dynamic discounting program, enabling suppliers to immediately improve payment terms for their already approved invoices, thereby reducing reliance on debt. This promotes a path of economic sustainability for suppliers as it mitigates the risk of "business crises". The claim reinforces the sustainability of the initiative that Unicoop Tirreno has chosen to implement in order to strengthen its trust-based relationship with its suppliers.
